gumbling

you’ve got my vote, bryant, what are we voting for again?

i’m excited about the no. 7 duke vs. no. 9 pittsburgh college hoops matchup tonight at 7 p.m. an early battle of the unbeatens. haven’t seen a lot of college hoops thus far, but pitt usually has a large following when they play at the garden. i’d love to see pitt come out and smack around duke but, it’s duke, that probably won’t happen. i’d much rather see an intense, well-played game that goes down to the wire … with duke eventually losing and pitt fans storming the court and stomping coach k to the floor. seems logical, no?

however, i’ve become a bit of a sucker for the nfl network. the steelers and rams face off in st. louis in what should be quite a lame game. i’ll watch anyway, because at this point in time, i’m more interested in nfl football than early, somewhat irrelevant college basketball games. i’ve heard differing opinions, but i really like cris collinsworth and whatever gumble that is doing the commentating. they’re subtle and not overly opinionated and seem to stick to the topic at hand, which would be football. it seems like the nfl network is happy to just let the game do the talking. they don’t use overly aggressive or flashy graphics. as an example, i remind you of the fox networks series of football playing robots that accompany you to a commercial break. either way, for whatever reason, i appreciate not getting flogged with loud, arrogant announcers or intrusive graphics and football playing robots. anyway, i’ve totally lost my train of thought now. that will be all.
