the business in which i work for has enacted a new policy on blogging. don’t do it at work. but, but, that is the only time that i actually prefer to blog! this kinda sucks. now i have to be leery about when i’m writing and who is looking over my shoulder and what-not. i don’t appreciate it. i’d go into further details, certain people that blog “for the company” are, of course, encouraged to still blog, but people who hold independent blogs, are not. the details are kind of like fight club, i’m afraid to mention them, for fear of being “outed.” so, much like the rebel i am, i will continue to blog, just not for the “man,” man.

i decided to take a break this past month or so, blogger burnout if you will. i saw some stuff that i’d normally write about, but i just didn’t have the gumption to take them on. see, i wouldn’t say that i actually enjoy writing. i could write professionally, i have the opportunity. i would probably be encouraged to write by my employer and best of all, i would be paid. but … it does seem like a lot of work. more than i’m accustomed to doing, that’s for damn sure. i’m more of a behind-the-scenes, computer-ish guy and i tend to like it that way, at least right now i do. oh, and i don’t have a firm grasp of the english language. i’ve heard that helps.

i’ve also been busier at work than normal. a new web site was in the works and the job of loading it with content was assigned mostly to yours truly. that, now, is out of the way and i’ve found myself occasionally rolling back into the ol’ downtime rut. i’ve taken to wearing a slightly diffferent hat at work as well. not on my head, i just like to use the term “hat” when it refers to taking on different tasks. i do a little photo and video work here and there, moreso than before, which i thoroughly enjoy. i’d like to eventually evolve into more of a photographer than what i’m currently doing or maybe some sort of hybrid of the two.

but i’m back again. buzz bissinger can’t sway this blogger to stop tapping his keys. yea, that’s a sad state of affairs right there isn’t it? mainstream media against bloggers? sports writers vs. sports bloggers. really, that’s as far as i’m going. i wouldn’t touch that subject with a telephone pole. can’t we all just get along? no? i didn’t think so. alright then, see ya in the funny pages.
